Portland Casual Dining

Por Que No is solidly one of my favorite places to eat in Portland. It is located next to Apizza Scholls, making it a difficult decision every time, but you can't go wrong with either. The Grilled Cheese Grill is a lovely throwback to earlier days, but its just hard to each slabs of cheese and not feel a little guilty.

Theme of the Week: All About Me

Each week at Tiny Tigers they have a theme. I've decided that I am going to try to extend the theme with additional activities at home. I'll try to keep a log of my ideas here so that I can use them again some day and please, if you have any ideas, let me know. This week is "All About Me" and here are some of the plans...

To explore favorites: everyone needs a favorite ice cream: lets find which it is at Salt and Straw downtown (Reviewed and photographed by Your Homebased Mom).

To learn about our bodies: paper dolls: these by Lily and Thistle are ideal but for an older age group

Learn more about body parts: fingerpainting ideas from Meet the Dubiens

More about body parts: oreo eyes from Disney Family: Did you know the white part of your eye is called the sclera?
