I don't normally count books I teach in school as books that I have read for the year but since I haven't read these two since college and I did all of the reading at home prior to teaching - I am counting them. Oedipus The King and Antigone by Sophocles. I was really apprehensive about teach greek tragedy but these books are so surprisingly fascinating.

From an essay by Edith Hamilton
