To continue my list of baby needs for my future wee ones and my sisters who are bound to babies galor. Its easy to forget things...so here are some of things that helped us survive the baby to toddler stage.
1. The bumbo and then then the tie on chair when she starting getting stuck in the bumbo
2. Books with flaps. She loves lifting the flaps. And if it has something to touch and feel, all the better!
3. Mardi gras beads. Seriously the best entertainment ever. But a pain to pick up.
4. Stuffed animals. Embrace the cuteness.
5. Best advice: talk to your little one as if they can understand what you say - it will surprise you what they are getting - don't talk about them as if they are not in the room - ask questions and respect their answer - say thank you a lot and expect them to do the same
6. Baby signing time videos (Lucy wouldn't watch them but they taught me the signs I needed to teacher her)
7. This is more seasonal than age but a beanie that has ear covers
8. A big bag of baby supplies for the car and a bigger purse (no diaper bag). Allows for more carrying of and playing with the little one rather than carrying bags.
