Young Adult Books

Because I am teaching a class for struggling readers this year and I want to be able to recommend books, I have been reading some young adult novels. Young adult novels are so hit and miss for me. I like the pace but I hate the formulas they frequently follow. That said, I really enjoyed the books I have finished.
